Sign in to the domain registrar, open the domain's DNS/nameserver settings, and replace the current nameservers with the exact pair/set supplied by your DNS provider.
Step by Step
- Identify where the domain is registered.
- Get the exact nameservers from the DNS/hosting provider you want to use.
- Sign in to the registrar.
- Open the domain's nameserver settings.
- Choose custom nameservers if required.
- Enter every nameserver exactly as supplied.
- Save the change and allow time for DNS caches to update.
If That Doesn't Work
- Changing nameservers changes which DNS zone controls the domain; make sure required website and email records exist at the new DNS provider.
- Do not delete working DNS records at the old provider until you know the new zone is complete.
