Open File Explorer → This PC → Map network drive, choose a drive letter, and enter the network path such as \\server\share.
Step by Step
- Open File Explorer.
- Select This PC.
- Choose Map network drive from the toolbar or menu.
- Choose a drive letter.
- Enter the shared-folder path, such as \\192.168.1.10\Shared or \\SERVER\Shared.
- Choose Reconnect at sign-in if you want Windows to restore it automatically.
- Select Finish and enter network credentials if prompted.
If That Doesn't Work
- The shared folder must already exist and your account must have permission to access it.
- If Windows cannot find the share, test the server name or IP address in File Explorer first.
- Stored credentials can affect which account Windows uses for the connection.
