Open Command Prompt, type ipconfig, and look for Default Gateway under your active network connection.
Step by Step
- Open Start and search for Command Prompt.
- Open Command Prompt.
- Type ipconfig and press Enter.
- Find the active Wi-Fi or Ethernet adapter.
- Look for Default Gateway. The IPv4 address shown there is normally your router's local IP address.
If That Doesn't Work
- Common router addresses include 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.1.1, but do not assume yours uses one of them.
- If Default Gateway is blank, confirm that the computer is connected to the local network.
