Open the Wi-Fi network properties in Windows Settings and use the option to view the Wi-Fi security key/password when available.
Step by Step
- Open Settings.
- Select Network & internet.
- Open Wi-Fi.
- Open the properties or management page for the connected/saved network.
- Look for the Wi-Fi security key/password option and choose View if your Windows version provides it.
- Use the password only for networks you are authorized to access.
If That Doesn't Work
- Windows menus differ between releases; older methods may use Control Panel → Network and Sharing Center → Wi-Fi Status → Wireless Properties → Security.
- The router administrator password is not necessarily the same as the Wi-Fi password.
