How to Forget a Wi-Fi Network in Windows 11

Remove a saved wireless network and its stored connection information.

Quick Answer

Open Settings → Network & internet → Wi-Fi → Manage known networks, choose the network, and select Forget.

Step by Step

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select Network & internet.
  3. Select Wi-Fi.
  4. Open Manage known networks.
  5. Find the network.
  6. Select Forget.
  7. Reconnect later by selecting the network and entering its current password.

If That Doesn't Work

  • Forgetting a network removes the saved password from that Windows connection profile.
  • This is useful when a saved password or network configuration is wrong.
