Step by Step
- Identify where coverage is weak.
- Check whether the problem is distance, building materials, or interference.
- For a small isolated dead spot, an extender may be sufficient.
- For broader multi-room or multi-floor coverage, a mesh system may provide easier roaming and centralized management.
- Place any wireless node where it still receives a good connection to the main network.
If That Doesn't Work
- Adding more wireless equipment does not increase the speed of the internet plan itself.
- Poor node placement can make an extender or mesh node ineffective.
